MSCW'S musical production of 2010 was a huge success.... with seats filled from the wednesday mattenay performance straight to the saturday evening performance....

my job and responsibility was to help with personal props back stage and also make up....
the make up was all bright colours strong and effective, in order of catching the style of the 80's.

As my role was makeups for lead roles and also performers which were in need of makeup, makeups only took place before the production, in between scenes, and interval... this means that whilst scenes were in progress, I was able to help around the backstage, I was also given the job of "PERSONAL PROPS MANAGER"...

This meant that whilst cast had personal props I was to manage and instruct the props team to be organised and prepared for following scenes which included props... before and after all performances I was to organise the props into correct order of sequence to ensure no chaos during production by looking for props etc.

I was to follow the dialogue and the scripts to ensure the correct props were taken on stage with the correct character in the performance.

As this is all a new experience to me I enjoyed it very much and learnt many preparation and organisation skills!

  1. Ally,

Your report on the staging, team work and other technical aspects of the school musical needs to be in greater depth.
